United Hubco-sponsored a community dinner, conversation, art, and other activities to help identify ways we can change our spaces and places (10/26/2023)
We recently convened a special meeting with family friends from Sammamish, Bellevue, Redmond, and Renton, focusing on the A Regional Coalition for Housing (ARCH) program. This meeting was marked by the enthusiastic participation of attendees, including elders over 80 years old and many around 50 years old.
Our discussion revolved around understanding this program better and exploring how we, as a community, can contribute to its mission.
Our attendees, especially the elders, shared insightful perspectives on affordable housing and community development. Younger attendees echoed these sentiments, showing a keen interest in the program.
The core theme of our discussion was the importance of affordable housing in building vibrant, inclusive communities. We discussed how ARCH aims to address this, and how our community members can support this cause. The sense of shared responsibility and eagerness to contribute was truly inspiring.
We are grateful to all who attended and contributed to the enlightening discussion. The success of this meeting reinforces our belief in the potential of the ARCH program and the power of community collaboration.
Stay tuned for more updates on the ARCH program and our future meetings. We at United Hub look forward to further engaging with our community in shaping the future of housing in East King County.

🏠 United Hub Celebrates Mother's Day with Community Outreach Event Promoting the ARCH Project 🏠 (5/12/2023)
On May 12th, United Hub hosted a special community outreach event at Hazel's residence in honor of Mother's Day. The event was designed to introduce local mothers to the ARCH project, an initiative dedicated to ensuring families in our community have access to safe and affordable housing. As part of the event's unique approach, participants were invited to a pottery party, adding a layer of creativity and fun while delving into the serious discussion of housing issues.
The ARCH project, which stands as a beacon of hope for families struggling with housing, was the centerpiece of the event. Attendees were handed surveys to gather personal insights into their housing experiences and to gauge their understanding of the hardships many families face when seeking adequate housing. Interestingly, a large proportion of the participants were educators, offering invaluable insight into the struggles encountered by families with school-aged children.
The event was met with positive reception, with attendees expressing their appreciation for being given a platform to learn more about the ARCH project and its noble mission. The collected survey responses will be meticulously analyzed to better comprehend the community's housing needs. This data will also guide future enhancements and expansions of the ARCH project, ensuring it remains responsive and effective.
This Mother's Day event underscored the vital role of community outreach in raising awareness and fostering connections around pressing social issues such as housing. By actively engaging local mothers and obtaining their insightful feedback, the ARCH project can continue to positively influence families in our community who are in dire need of secure and affordable housing options.
In conclusion, the event served as a testament to the power of community involvement and the importance of initiatives like the ARCH project. United Hub remains committed to these efforts, confident in the knowledge that they create tangible improvements in the lives of those who need it most.
🏠 United Hub's Community Outreach Event: Connecting and Understanding Housing Needs 🏠 (5/5/2023)
On May 5th, we had the pleasure of hosting a community outreach event at Bellevue Library, focusing on housing options and prices in our area. 🏘️
To ensure we engaged with all members of our diverse community, the event was held in Chinese, breaking language barriers and fostering an inclusive conversation.🗣️🇨🇳
We welcomed 10 community members from 5 different cities, with varying income levels, to share their unique perspectives on housing. Our team began with an insightful introduction about ARCH, United Hub, and the current state of housing in the area, including recent trends and statistics. 📊
The floor was then open for attendees to share their experiences and concerns on various topics, such as
affordable housing, rental rates, and home ownership. 🏡
We also distributed surveys to gather crucial data on housing options in our community. 📝
The event successfully achieved its goal of collecting valuable feedback and data, which will be used to advocate for policies and programs addressing the needs of our community members. 🌟
Thank you to everyone who participated! We look forward to continuing these important conversations through similar events in the future. Let's work together to make our community even better! 💪🤝
