Event Date: October 20, 2024
Location: Bellevue, BelRed District
Participants: 5 Community Volunteers
Today marked the first "Cleanup BelRed!" event, part of Bellevue's Adopt-a-Street program, with five enthusiastic community volunteers coming together to clean and beautify the BelRed neighborhood.
Our focus was on the area around Goodwill, where volunteers worked diligently to pick up litter and remove debris from the streets and sidewalks. Despite the initial impression that the streets were relatively clean, the difference after our collective efforts was striking—the area looked refreshed and revitalized.
Weather: The weather was on our side, with clear skies and perfect conditions for outdoor work. This added an extra boost of energy to the team, who collaborated smoothly and efficiently.
The event not only improved the physical environment but also strengthened community bonds, as volunteers worked side by side with a shared purpose. Everyone expressed a desire to continue participating in future cleanup efforts and contribute to making Bellevue a cleaner, greener place.
We hope more community members will join us for upcoming events, as together we can make a lasting impact on the beauty and health of our city!
