Feb. 23rd 2025, “Walk to Harbor “ parade was successfully held in Seattle. Over 100 paraders walked peacefully from the Hing Hay Park to the waterfront and back. In 1886 expulsion of 350 of Seattle’s Chinese residents, who were forced to board a ship for San Francisco, where they were then deported to China. In order to commemorate this history and remind people to reflect on the harm caused by racial discrimination, many community associations in Seattle organized the "Chinese Expulsion Memorial Project". The 100th anniversary in 1986 was the first event, and this year’s was the fifth. As one of the commemorative activities, the “Walk to Harbor” Parade has a history of 39 years.

By walking on the old road to the harbor where the sorrowful event took place and looking back on this unknown history of Seattle, the people of Seattle expressed that they are and will always be opposing prejudice and hatred. United Hub intends to make the Walk a staple event and plans to bring in more activities in the future.

This activity is not just a remembrance of history. As said by one of the organizers of the event L.Z. , it is "for the future of our children." It reminds us that only with understanding and tolerance can society develop harmoniously.

"The highlight of this year's event," said Qiong, Executive Director of the United Hub and an important organizer of the event, "is that it provided an opportunity for local youths to start a film documentary led by Director Min Zhou. It is our pleasure to be able to support our friends to achieve their dreams, especially to enable young people to connect and to fulfill their social responsibility in the community.”

Winston Lee, the president of the United Hub, said, "I hope to remind everyone through this activity that life is not always calm, and history often replays in different forms. We should learn from the lessons of the past and avoid repeating the same mistakes.” He wrote a heartfelt thank letter to the organization Committee:
